Cristina Marte, Interim Executive Director

Cristina Marte received her B.F.A. in Dance from Montclair State University and her M.A. in Dance Education from New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development. As a dance educator, Cristina taught at the Ocean County Vocational Technical Schools Performing Arts Academy where she took part in developing the dance curriculum and building the rigorous dance program. She also developed and taught a full time dance program in Jersey City Public Schools for grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. She was a member of the State Model Curriculum Writing Team for Dance and is a current member of the Visual and Performing Arts Standards Revision Team for New Jersey. Cristina is a faculty member of the EdM Graduate Dance Program at Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Arts and the Graduate School of Education. She is also faculty at Montclair State University Department of Theatre and Dance. Cristina holds a teaching certificate in the state of New Jersey, is a member of the National Dance Education Organization, has been a board member of Dance New Jersey since 2005 and is honored to be Managing Director of Dance New Jersey.



Maggie Guajardo, Membership/Events Intern

Maggie began dancing at age 4 and graduated from Valdosta State University with a BFA in Dance. She taught dance at multiple studios near Orlando, Florida while also performing at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. She then went on to travel and perform with Disney Live! across the United States, Mexico, Australia and Southeast Asia. She is now continuing her love of travel as a flight attendant and is excited to join Dance New Jersey as the Membership and Events Intern.

Kassandra Ruboyianes, Communications/Event InternKassie began dancing at a local studio in Monmouth County, NJ at the age of 7. Kassie attended Ocean County Vocational Technical School's Performing Arts Academy where she received her high school diploma with a concentration in dance. While in high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. Kassie studied at various summer intensives such as Point Park University’s International Summer Dance, The Joffrey’s Ballet Summer Intensive, and the MetDance Professional Intensive where she trained under world-renowned teachers and choreographers. Kassie continued her education attending Point Park University, graduating in 2016 with a BA in dance, concentrating in jazz technique. After graduation, Kassie also studied at Broadway Dance Center in New York City for their Professional Semester Program. Currently, Kassie is an apprentice at Nickerson-Rossi Dance in Philadelphia, teaches at a few studios, is the head coach for the Ranney School Dance Team, and a member of the Redef Movement. Her most recent performance includes being a guest speaker with The Redef Movement at TEDxAsbury Park.
