Carolyn Dorfman Dance celebrates our debut performance at the Pollak Gallery and Theatre at Monmouth University. The company will perform “The Legacy Project: A Dance of Hope” – an exultant “dance-theatre” trilogy that connects us through our common human experience. Told through the lens of a child of Holocaust survivors, dances illustrate the devastation, yet inspires hope as immigrants’ journey to a new land that promises new beginnings! Our deepest desires for peace, freedom and family are illuminated in this triumphant work that will make you cry, laugh, think and celebrate the capacity of the human spirit to rise above all circumstance.
In conjunction with our performance, Monmouth University presents “Jacob Landau and His Circle”, an exhibition of paintings by the late Jacob Landau and works by members of the artist’s circle who were strongly influenced by his vision. The exhibition is curated by Carolyn Dorfman Dance Trustee and visual artist Joanne Leone.
