Two award winning and internationally acclaimed artists join forces for a thrilling afternoon of dance – New Jersey’s premiere modern dance company, Carolyn Dorfman Dance, and brilliant tap dance artist Hillary-Marie. The stunning dancers of Carolyn Dorfman’s multi-ethnic company are known for high-energy, technically demanding dance and powerful storytelling. Works created by Carolyn Dorfman connect life and dance in bold, athletic and dramatic terms, taking audiences on intellectual and emotional journeys that illuminate and celebrate the human experience. The performance includes Snap Crackle Pop, Dorfman’s 2018 groundbreaking collaboration with Renée Jaworski, the co-Artistic Director of internationally renowned PILOBOLUS. Hillary-Marie’ Sole Music Collective is percussive dance at its finest – music for the soul created by the soles of the feet. The company gives a visual to the rhythm we hear and a voice to dance that we see by approaching tap dance as a musical instrument and visual performance art. Hillary-Marie will share excerpts from trio tap dance show One More Than Two in addition to solo works with live music accompaniment Spend an afternoon “Up Close and Personal” with crowd pleasing works by two dance innovators.
