“The Disruption Project” brings two highly physical yet distinctly different works to life by asking questions about uncertainty and change:
Q U A K E* (choreographed by Robert Mark Burke) sends four dancers spiraling through space racing to fill the void of the world collapsing around them. Set to a dynamic, in your face score by Ben Frost,
Q U A K E explores loss, emptiness, and a want for more. When we have nothing in our control, what can we control?
Aftermath (choreographed by Lauren Connolly) explores the obstacles that are faced when the idea of order is being challenged and the need for wholeness is possibly lost. The dancers navigate through space as they experience the repercussions and lasting effects of abrupt changes, actions and events.
*Q U A K E was made possible, in part, from the Eryc Taylor Dance/ New Choreography Grant.
