Mosaic Dance Theater Company seeks Female Dancers for Ensemble

Mosaic Dance Theater Company seeking Experienced Dancers, Female, 20s-40s, all ethnicities, 5’3” – 5’7”, for ensemble in upcoming 15th anniversary concert November 2018. Traditional dance training, theatrical experience, strong character work required. Additional strong Middle Eastern technique preferred (Oriental & folkloric styles). No Divas! We are an ensemble company looking for those of like spirit. Must be able and willing to commit to ongoing rehearsal schedule — Mondays 5-10 PM, Wednesdays 8-10 PM, Times Square location. Rehearsals begin March/April 2018. Paid performances; unpaid rehearsals. Dance auditions on Sunday February 18 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at Nola Studios, 250 W. 54th St., 11th floor, NYC. 3-hour audition will consist of combinations, short choreogrphy. Limited spots. MIP2® NYC 2018 Program

Week 1: July 2 - July 7 (Monday - Saturday, No July 4th)
Week 2: July 9 - July 13 (Monday - Friday)
Location: Marymount Manhattan College, NYC TBA
Tuition: S$1600 + US$35 registration fee

The MIP2® NYC 2018 Summer Program is a two-week, intensive introduction to the creative process and improvisational skills for advanced dancers ages 15 to 18. Each day begins with a Ballet class followed by pointe work for women and men’s work. The morning then concludes with Introduction to Improvisation. After lunch, dancers have Contemporary Technique followed by a Collaboration/Creative Process class. For more information, please email

Movement Invention Project® is an innovative three-week summer intensive in New York City for advanced dancers, 18-23 years old. Dancers will work with an extraordinary faculty of teachers, choreographers, and mentors in a Project that encourages risk-taking, creativity, and the development of improvisational skills. In this supportive environment, dancers will be prepared to work in collaboration with today’s choreographers. The program includes ballet, improvisational workshops, and the exploration of the creative process.

MIP® is an expansion of New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble's (NJDTE) Educational Programming and originally began as a collaboration with the Arts Umbrella (Vancouver, CA). MIP® also has a program for dancers 15 to 18 years old, MIP2®.
